Meet Margie.

Your board wants a plan. Your budget needs a strategy behind it. Your team is stretched thin and could use another set of experienced hands.

That’s where I come in. Clients bring me in for a specific project, and then, often, we just keep going. Some have worked with me episodically for a decade or more, one organization every year for almost 20.

What I offer shifts with what’s needed. Fundraising counsel, coaching for individuals or teams, help finding the right person for a key role. What doesn’t change is the goal, which is to help nonprofits plan thoughtfully, raise money strategically, and build the internal strength to sustain their mission.

Fall in Northern Michigan has its own kind of quiet. There’s an energy to it too, just a different one: less momentum, more focus.

I’ve been thinking about the tension between planning ahead and staying grounded in what’s right in front of you. Fall up here is its own kind of beautiful, in a way that’s easy to miss if you’re already looking toward next year. The best thing I’ve seen organizations do, and the think I try to do myself, is use the season’s clarity without rushing past it.
